Twenty-five-year-old Wilfred Billingsley, a player on the Miami Dolphins practice squad, has been arrested after a domestic incident in South Florida but was released from Broward County jail on $4,000 bond Tuesday.
Billingsley was charged of battery and resisting an officer without violence. The chargers resulted from a Monday incident, in which Billingsley’s girlfriend told investigators that Billingsley tried to throw her out the couple’s front door after they argued and she put his shoes outside. The woman had scratches on her arm and neck. And when an officer tried to arrest Billingsley, he pulled his arm away and said he “couldn’t go to jail.”
There has not yet any comment from the Dolphins. Billingsley is not available and no one knows whether he has an attorney or plans to hire one.
